Try It Thursday

For Try It Thursday, I thought it might be fun to try masking. On this card, I took a piece of printer paper and cut it to 3 3/8" x 4 5/8", the same size of my Whisper White Cardstock. I then used my paper trimmer and cut a 2 3/8" x 3 5/8" rectangle out of the center (this makes a 1/2" border all the way around). This was my mask. I then used Ditto temporary adhesive to hold the mask down. I sponged Orchid Opulence ink onto the Whisper White layer and stamped my leaf image (but I stamped off once because the image was too strong). I them removed the mask and stamped my flower image in Rich Razzleberry ink.
At least, with this technique I didn't have the same problems as dealing with my possessed sewing machine :b So give this technique a try. You can get some really awesome effects.

Love your card. I keep forgetting to use this technique, and the results are so FAB that I am missing out. Thanks for the inspiration.

Michelle,
I think this card looks great and what a simple technique that we could all demo so easily. I too have never tried it but will now.
I have to tell you I lol when I read your sewing machine comment...I feel the same way about mine when I tried making the oh so poplular scallop purses. :)
Have a great Friday.
Kealey
