Wheel It Wednesday

Ok. So I opened up my HodgePodge Hardware case to make this card and I swear it squeaked. I really need to use these embellies more often. I bought the Styled Vanilla kit when it first came out and I only had one piece gone out of it and that was because a friend of mine was in a swap and needed one ribbon slide, so I gave it to her. I think I need a 12 step program to get over my fear of Hodgepodge usage. Seriously, HodgePodge Hoarders Anonymous here I come. When I was making this card, I had to keep reminding myself that I can take the HodgePodge off if I'm not happy with the card. But in the end I like how it turned out.

ETA: The winner of yesterday's card Kit from is.....drumroll.....

A very nice card. Thanks for sharing.

Please email me at with your contact info so I can send you your card kit.

The wheel I used on this card was to create a background. It is the Texture Wheel and I think it gives a nice vintagy look. I even wheeled on the patterned paper. The image was stamped in Very Vanilla cardstock and colored using a blender pen and ink from the lid of my ink pad after I squished it. All the paper edges were sponged with Soft Suede Ink.

Stamps: Elements of Style (from the Summer Mini starting May 1 and OMG do I ever love this stampset), Texture Wheel
Paper: Very Vanilla, Kraft, Soft Suede, Autumn Traditions DSP
Ink: Soft Suede, Always Artichoke, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Styled Vanilla HodgePodge Hardware, Kraft Taffeta Ribbon, Blender Pen, Scallop Border Punch, Piercing Tool, Snail Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Sponges

Greetings from a fellow hoarder . . . BEAUTIFUL card!!!

LOVE the layout and EVERYthing on this card. GOJUS!! I too am a horder of these embellishments. I hide them from myself!! YIKES!!! Maybe they'll be antiques someday. :D

Love the vanilla hodgepodge.. I will have to do one like that so my customers can buy and enjoy the hodgepodge too!! Very beautiful!!

Very pretty Michelle! Love the way you painted the flowers! I have to confess...I'm a hoarder too...I bring them out and admire them and then tuck them away again! Thanks for sharing!

Just beautiful! Everything about it.

Here's my secret - buy it in bulk. Whenever SU! offers bulk hph I order it and that way I have lots of at least one kind to use.
I love your card and it has inspired me to buy this set - I was on the fence thinking I didn't need it since some of the elements are repeats but your card has now convinced me that I need it!
Thanks a lot!
