Take It Tuesday

Don't look too closely at this card. At the last minute I decided to flip it and put the ribbon on the hotdog way. Of course that was after I stamped all my images and taped on my ribbon. Something just wasn't clicking when it was vertical. But I like it this way. I think I will make it again with all the stamped images going the right way.

The little silver dots on the embossed white layer was done by dipping my stylus into my platinum shimmer paint and then dabbing it on the cardstock. That gives you a nice little dot. Of coarse the more paint you put on your stylus, the bigger your dot will be.

This card is part of Take It Tuesday. If you leave a comment on this blog post (click here to go to my blog if you are reading this from Facebook), you will be entered to win a free card kit with enough supplies to make 5 copies of this card (minus the adhesive and stamped images). You have until midnight May 4/10. I will pick a winner on Wednesday.

So soft, gentle and sweet! Where do you live that you're getting snow on May 4th??? I've heard of it in April, but never May - and we're having 80 - 90 degrees here in SC. Crazy weather, but both are conducive to staying inside and stamping - I might have to case this sweet card! Thanks for sharing. Jean

Beautiful card. I was wondering how you did the silver dots. I love the color choice also. Thanks for sharing. Mary Campbell

Great card! We had a chance of snow too, but it didn't arrive thankfully. Stay warm!

What a beautiful card! I really like the scoring and the use of soft colours, thank you for posting this. Margaret P.

This card is GORGEOUS! I love all the detail work on it. The colors are just perfect! Where do you live that you got snow? We are in the 80's here in SE PA. I'll send you some heat and humidity. We can spare it :O)

I'm a little jealous about the snow. :) I live in CA so I have to drive a bit to see any.

Your card is very cute! Thanks for sharing.

I love that card.

What a beautiful card! The little silver dots really caught my attention. Snow, good grief, it is in the 90s here in No. Virginia.

Love it, love it. Definitely will be casing this one. I love the silver dots & was very curious as to how you did that. Thanks for sharing. We're having tons of rain today. Thankfully it's not snow otherwise we'd be "socked in" in Newfoundland.

Your card is really cute! Love the embossing. Sorry to hear about your snow. That would not be welcome around here in May. I think we are supposed to be 78 degrees today. I haven't plants my plants yet either. My mother's rule of thumb was Mother's Day was fairly safe so I'll plant this weekend if it's dry enough. Thanks for the chance to win. Have a great day!

I love this card, it is so elegant. I would love to make it. Maybe I will win. You did a great job. Thank you for sharing.

What a Beautiful Card!!!

and SNOW! Glad I am not living where you are living....I don't like the cold.....It is warm here in Maryland and I'm lovin' it.

Very pretty card! I would love to win this kit! Sorry about your grass seedlings :(

What a pretty card. I hope I win!

I tried the click here if you are on facebook but it didn't work. I love this card and would love the give-away, I won't lie. Right now, I am wishing for snow again. IT is only the beginning of May and we have had 90+ days already.
Thanks for sharing.

What a pretty card, love the silver dots on it.

I agree that the horizontal rather than vertical layout is pleasing to the eye!

I think your card looks fine just the way it is. Love how it came out with the embossing folder. So that means I would love to win materials to make my own, thanks for offering candy along with your beautiful card.

snow no.......LOL It was lovely here today in SW Ontario. I love you card. I am just starting into card making. I am more of a scrapbooker. Elegant yet simple is very appealing to me.

What a great idea to use the Itty Bitty stamps in this embossed pattern. I love the card, so soft and pretty.

I really like what you did with this card. And creativity is the key to stamping. So you changed the ribbon. People who receive this card would just think about how creative you are and they may not even notice what you did.

Simple Elegance! I love it! SharriC

Beautiful card, Michelle. We don't have that embossing plate here in NZ yet, but I think it's gorgeous. Hope you keep warm - it's autumn (fall) here, and getting cooler too.

Michelle, your card is so beautiful with it's soft details and who wouldn't want to win a kit to make them. I am glad to be back to see all the beautiful cards you make. My friend Rita is a stampin up demo or whatever you call yourself, but she also makes some very simple and beautiful cards. Thanks for letting me enter your wonderful giveaway. Hugs, Pat

Beautiful card. I love all the embossing. The silver dots really set it off. I had to look more than once trying to figure out what you were saying about the card being sideways. I didn't even notice it. LOL. TFS

very pretty! I am guessing that the embossing was done with the cuttlebug? Love how you did that!
