Try It Thursday

ETA: The winner of yesterday's card Kit from Random.org is.....drumroll.....

Very pretty, love the whisper white paper, is it textured using the big shot?

Please email me at stampinwithmichelle@shaw.ca with your contact info so I can send you your card kit.
For Try It Thursday, I thought I'd do a Gatefold card. They create such a pretty card and I definitely don't make them enough. And did you notice? I used Christmas DSP this time. I know, crazy girl. The snow has bearly melted, the sun is splitting the rocks and she is using Christmas paper. LMBO

Anyhoo, today I made a sympathy card but it isn't anyone in particular. I don't like making sympathy cards, especially when I know what it is for, so I try to always have a few on hand. It's easier to pick a card then to sit and make a card with a heavy heart.

I'll be back later to post who won this week's card kit.

Supplies
Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers, Itty Bitty Bits
Paper: Old Olive, Basic Black, Whisper White, Merry Moments DSP
Ink: Old Olive, Regal Rose
Accessories: Earth Elements Brads, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch, Ticket Corner Punch, Piercing Tool,
Snail Adhesive, Tombow Adhesive

Lovely card. Thanks for sharing.

I, like you do not care for that designer paper. Just yesterday I found a card that was made with designer paper that would be great with "loud" dp. Run the d/p thru your Sizzix with Tulipe, for example. I would distress around the edges then attach to a solid piece of paper. Ta-da! Hee hee!

Really wonderful card, and I love the way you used the new Itty Bitty Bits and matching punch. This will definitely get me to use this set more!

Lovely card. Thanks so much for sharing, and congrats on being featured in Kelly's daily blog finds!

Yes, sympathy cards are hard to make, so thank you for sharing this one - even if you used Christmas paper. Who's to know?
